With Filippo Mane's recent red card, he joins Fabio Silva, Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck, Julien Duranville and Niklas Sule among the players unavailable for selection.

Kovac might have to deploy full-back Julian Ryerson in a three-man defense, relying on midfielders Marcel Sabitzer and Pascal Gross to provide protection for what could be a vulnerable defensive unit.

Additionally, Jobe Bellingham is expected to play a role and may be tasked with supporting forwards Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi.
