West Ham will be desperate to secure their first home points of the season as they prepare for their fourth consecutive London derby at the London Stadium.

Sitting second from bottom in the Premier League, the Hammers know that Brentford's visit marks the start of a favorable stretch of fixtures, a golden opportunity to pull themselves out of the relegation scrap.

Brentford, however, have struggled just as much away from home, falling to defeats at Nottingham Forest, Sunderland, and Fulham in their three road outings so far.

Injuries and Suspensions

West Ham team news

West Ham receive a boost with Tomas Soucek eligible to return from suspension after serving a three-match ban for his red card against Tottenham on September 13. However, his lacklustre form may prompt Nuno Espírito Santo to stick with a more dynamic midfield pairing of Mateus Fernandes and Soungoutou Magassa, both of whom have impressed with their energy and drive.

In attack, Niclas Fullkrug remains sidelined indefinitely, leaving Callum Wilson poised for his second Premier League start in claret and blue.

Brentford team news

For Brentford, Antoni Milambo is unavailable through injury, but both Jordan Henderson and Yehor Yarmolyuk are fit and expected to play a part. Defender Aaron Hickey, who picked up a knock while on Scotland duty, has returned to training and is likely to feature in some capacity.

Up front, Igor Thiago will aim to build on his tally of four league goals, with Mikkel Damsgaard looking to provide the creative spark to keep the Bees buzzing in attack.
