Paul Scholes sends strong Eberechi Eze transfer message to Man Utd after Crystal Palace winger's lively display for England against Senegal

Amidst the collective disappointment, Eze's performance stood out. Having only featured as a substitute in the previous 1-0 win over Andorra, the 26-year-old was handed a starting role against Senegal and made an immediate impact. Scholes took to social media during the game to express his admiration for Eze’s performance. Posting a picture of the Palace playmaker in his England kit on Instagram, the Manchester United legend kept it short and emphatic with only three words: “Just buy him.”

Eze has enjoyed arguably his best year in a Palace shirt, finishing the season with 14 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. His crowning moment came in the FA Cup final, where he netted the winner against Manchester City, sealing a historic triumph for Oliver Glasner's side.

That form has not gone unnoticed, with several Premier League clubs monitoring his situation closely. Tottenham have long admired the former QPR man, and the presence of a £68 million ($92m) release clause in his contract makes him an attainable target for top clubs this summer.

United, meanwhile, are looking to reshape their squad during the transfer window but must work within financial limits, especially after missing out on Champions League football for next season. So far, United have confirmed the £62.5 million signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves, bolstering their attacking options. They are also in discussions with Brentford over Bryan Mbeumo. Although an initial £55 million offer for the Cameroon international was rejected, negotiations are still ongoing between the two parties.
