Gaucho 1. Div. playoff Overview

Brighton & Hove Albion are closely monitoring rising Juventus attacker Adin Licina following his impressive start to the season on loan in Italy's second tier. Fabian Hurzeler's side face stiff competition from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig and domestic rivals as they weigh up a potential winter approach for the German teenager.

Massimiliano Allegri saw his severely weakened side fall to a disappointing two-goal exhibition reverse against second-tier opponents at Castel Volturno. Goals from Michael Venturi and Luca Di Maggio punished the Partenopei, who were crippled by international call-ups and an extensive injury list during an unconvincing warm-up encounter on Friday.

Serie B side Avellino have confirmed ongoing negotiations to sign former Real Madrid star James Rodriguez. The 35-year-old Colombia captain is open to playing in the Italian second tier due to his strong relationship with head coach Alessandro Nesta.

Former Paris Saint-Germain defender Colin Dagba has sealed a surprise move to Italian Serie B side Carrarese Calcio after becoming a free agent. The three-time Ligue 1 champion has put pen to paper on a contract until June 2028 with the Apuan outfit, ending his stint in Belgium as he seeks to revitalise his career in Italian football's second tier.
