  4. Sundowns 1-1 Chiefs: It's slipping away, Masandawana! Badi is to blame for horrible physicality in the game

Once again, the side from Naturena had a decisive say in the Premier Soccer League title race, standing firm to deny Masandawana the chance to pull clear at the summit in a dramatic showdown, as both teams settled for a hard-fought share of the spoils under the lights, leaving the Brazilians three points ahead of the Buccaneers, who have a game in hand and a better goal difference, and setting the race up to go right down to the wire.

  5. Ex-PSL star on Downs vs Pirates title fight - 'The owners of the league will retain it'

Ex-Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs star has had his say on an electrifying PSL title race, and he’s backing the Brazilians to add more silverware to their crowded trophy cabinet. Beeza has opened up on the demanding task of stepping into a highly scrutinised role, filling a space that many felt would be difficult to stabilise. 3. Durban 2-1 Galaxy: 'Parker wanted to fool the nation; Next time this cup should only have Pirates, Chiefs & Sundowns'

With everything at stake in the Ke Yona final, the Rockets bore the burden of expectation as they aimed to steady a disappointing Premier Soccer League campaign and relive their greatest moment in the competition, lifting the trophy at Moses Mabhida Stadium against Kaizer Chiefs in 2019, back when they were still in the First National Division. On the other side, the league newcomers embraced a golden opportunity to write their names into the history books and end KwaZulu-Natal’s long wait for silverware, with a chance to reignite the province’s cup pedigree.

  4. Cardoso on 'Downs goal struggles - 'No one should forget we broke the record of the league'

The Portuguese mentor has played down any suggestion that the Tshwane giants are playing second fiddle to Orlando Pirates in the goalscoring stakes. While the Buccaneers currently boast a superior goal difference to the Brazilians, the Masandawana coach remains adamant that clinical consistency and a relentless focus on maximum points will be the true decider in the wide-open league title race.
