  4. Mokoena locked in as agent dismisses Al Ahly talk

The Masandawana star has become one of the standout figures in the Chloorkop outfit and, indeed, in the Premier Soccer League. Season after season, he continues to prove he has the pedigree to proudly fly the South African flag on football’s biggest stages abroad. Yet, despite the growing speculation, his representative has moved quickly to silence the rumours, insisting that the midfield maestro remains fully committed to the task at hand at Chloorkop.

  1. Petersen backed to replace Williams as Bafana No.1

The Amakhosi goalkeeper is the man on everyone’s lips after an inspired Soweto Derby display, sparking widespread calls for his inclusion in the upcoming global showpiece. He went a step further, boldly declaring that Beeza is now firmly in the conversation to become the national team's first choice.

  2. Sebelebele reflects as Pirates drop points in Chiefs draw - 'Opponent came to defend'

The Buccaneers star, who ensured the Sea Robbers salvaged a point in the Soweto Derby, did not attempt to hide his frustration after Sunday’s stalemate. 3. Ouaddou praises Petersen after Soweto Derby - 'I think he did really well for them'

The Buccaneers mentor praised the Amakhosi goalkeeper after the shot-stopper played a pivotal role in a draw at FNB Stadium, leaving the Sea Robbers to rue a host of missed opportunities in a high-stakes encounter. He proved to be the decisive figure for the Glamour Boys, producing a commanding display after missing the previous meeting between the Soweto rivals in February, a clash in which the Naturena outfit conceded three goals.

  4. Pirates 1-1 Chiefs: 'Is Abongile Tom the only referee available for the Derby? Peterson really saved us'

There was plenty at stake in the Soweto Derby, not just bragging rights but unfinished business for Amakhosi after being heavily beaten in the last meeting between the two sides in February. The Buccaneers, meanwhile, had their eyes firmly on the bigger picture as the title race reaches its business end, knowing maximum points and a healthy goal tally could prove crucial in their push for league glory.
