Juan Soto and the New York Mets square off with Gleyber Torres and the Detroit Tigers on Monday afternoon at 1:10 p.m. ET, opening a three-game set at Comerica Park.

Detroit (80-58) comes in riding momentum after taking two of three from Kansas City. The Tigers closed out that series with a 5-0 shutout, sparked by a four-run fourth inning and capped off with an insurance tally in the eighth. Jake Rogers fueled the offense, going 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs as Detroit collected nine hits in the win.

New York (73-64), meanwhile, dropped three of four against Miami in a rough series that featured a 19-9 slugfest and an 11-8 shootout. In Sunday’s finale, the Mets mustered just one run in a 5-1 loss, unable to generate much offense beyond a seventh-inning push.
