USMNT star Christian Pulisic takes cheeky swipe as A-listers turn out in force to watch Lionel Messi in MLS & extends his own invitation

The Messi roadshow in MLS has been attracting plenty of attention, with star-studded audiences packing into stadiums across America. His latest outing for Inter Miami saw a lengthy list of celebrities secure entry passes – with the likes of Selena Gomez, LeBron James, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Holland, Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell catching a glimpse of the all-time great against LAFC in California.

The presence of so many iconic figures in the stands has generated plenty of headlines, with Messi making more of his own on the field. Pulisic hopes that a new generation of so-called soccer supporters display the same level of support for their national team.

AC Milan star Pulisic has posted on social media over the top of a video highlighting the galaxy of stars that turned up in Los Angeles to watch Messi: “Let them know they're invited to US national team games too.”

The United States will be in friendly action against Germany in Conneticut and Ghana in Nashville during the September international break, with the hope being that Gregg Berhalter’s side will pull in as many happy punters as Messi and Inter Miami are getting.
