    THE GOSSIP

Bowen and Dyer are also planning on tying the knot this summer, with a lavish wedding ceremony being lined up. Danny will be a lively presence at that event, with the larger-than-life east London native happy to be giving his daughter away to a man than he already loves like a son.

  • WHAT DANNY DYER SAID

Discussing his relationship with Bowen, Dyer told Sky Sports when asked to pick out his favourite ever West Ham player: “It’s got to be Jarrod Bowen, hasn’t it! The father of my grandchildren. Also, he scored the winning goal, didn’t he, in the European final [Europa Conference League in 2023].

“It’s nice to have a boyfriend you love, because most of them you hate! It’s always tricky when your daughter brings a man home and you get replaced for a little while. But I think I’m more in love with Jarrod than Dani is!”

    WHAT NEXT?

Bowen was handed the captain’s armband at West Ham ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. He has remained a talismanic presence for the Hammers when fit this season, registering eight goals and four assists for a team that are hoping to pull further clear of the Premier League relegation zone over the course of their 11 remaining fixtures.
