Bayern Munich have officially confirmed that contract talks are underway with Dayot Upamecano after weeks of speculation surrounding the defender's future at Allianz Arena. Club president Herbert Hainer has publicly addressed the situation, assuring fans that negotiations are progressing as Bayern look to secure the French defender’s long-term future, whom they see as a crucial figure in Vincent Kompany’s evolving defensive setup.

Bayern Munich are nearing a contract extension with Dayot Upamecano, but a dispute over the signing bonus has put talks on hold. The French defender reportedly wants a bonus similar to the package Alphonso Davies received when he last extended his deal, while Bayern hesitate due to recent big-money renewals. Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool and Manchester United are monitoring developments closely.

Bayern Munich are reportedly planning to hold one final round of talks with Dayot Upamecano as pressure mounts over the French defender's unresolved contract situation. With negotiations stalling over salary demands and signing fees, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Real Madrid are monitoring developments closely - raising the prospect of another Bayern star walking away for free.

Bayern Munich could face a major blow as Dayot Upamecano’s contract standoff opens the door for a transfer battle between Barcelona and Real Madrid. With talks stalling over a new deal, the French centre-back’s uncertain future has also drawn interest from Manchester United, setting up a fierce pursuit ahead of the winter transfer window.

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has made it clear that extending Dayot Upamecano’s contract is a top priority for the club. The French centre-back, who joined in 2021, is out of contract next June, and with several European giants circling, Bayern are trying hard to keep one of their key players beyond 2025. However, Upamecano’s high wage demands have made negotiations challenging.
