Forwards Elder Santana and Joao Paulo, as well as goalkeeper Temirlan Anarbekov and midfielder Giorgi Zaria, are ruled out by injuries.

The availability of Alexandr Zarutskiy is still uncertain. If Zarutskiy is unavailable, the teenage shot stopper could eye a starting opportunity, with Dastan Satpaev expected to lead the line.

Dani Carvajal picked up a calf injury in the Atletico loss at the weekend, as the right-back joins Eder Militao, who also left the Madrid derby early, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Antonio Rudiger and Ferland Mendy in the treatment room.

Manager Xabi Alonso is likely to deal with his depleted defense with Raul Asencio and Fran Garcia played as full-backs, alongside Dean Huijsen and Alvaro Carreras at center-back.

Franco Mastantuono could get the nod ahead of Jude Bellingham in the XI, while Kylian Mbappe remains indispensable up front.
