Where is the F1 Hungarian Grand Prix 2025 held?
The Hungaroring is a racetrack in Mogyorod, Hungary. In 1986, it hosted the first F1 Hungarian GP, and Bernie Ecclestone's dream of staging a race behind the Iron Curtain finally came to fruition. It has now firmly established itself as a cornerstone of the F1 racing calendar.
Due to the twisty and bumpy nature of the Hungaroring, overtaking does become very difficult, hence why the track has been nicknamed 'Monaco without the barriers'. Nonetheless, we have witnessed some a number of dramatic and memorable at the circuit over the years, including the epic duels between Nelson Piquet and Ayrton Senna, Jenson Button triumphing over Fernando Alonso in the wet in 2006, Daniel Ricciardo weaving his way through the field in 2014 and Lewis Hamilton's late overtake on Max Verstappen to claim victory in 2019.
The Hungaroring is the home of Hungarian motorsport. Besides Formula One, it has also hosted the DTM and FIA GT Championship races.
