Santos Laguna team news

Santos Laguna have endured a rough patch, losing their last five matches across all competitions, including a heavy 4-0 defeat to LA Galaxy in the Leagues Cup. The team has conceded at least two goals in each of their last five games and has struggled to find the net consistently, with only four goals scored over that span.

Offensively, Ramiro Sordo leads the team with four goals this season, while Bruno Barticciotto and a handful of others have contributed sporadically. Defensive issues have left them without a clean sheet in their last five league games.

Chivas team news

Chivas arrive with some momentum, having won a dramatic 4-3 contest against Atlético San Luis in their previous game. Armando Gonzalez has been their main threat in front of goal, supported by Cade Cowell and others contributing to a more varied attack.

Chivas have struggled for consistency themselves, posting three wins, three losses, and four draws in their last ten matches. They have also not kept a clean sheet in their last six, but have succeeded in outscoring opponents when needed.
