The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (4-1) and Delaware Blue Hens (3-1) square off Friday night in Newark, Delaware, for an early-season Conference USA showdown at Delaware Stadium.
Western Kentucky has quickly put its lone stumble against Toledo in the rearview, stacking back-to-back wins over Nevada and Missouri State. The Hilltoppers not only got the victories but also covered the number in both contests, making it four covers in their first five outings. Now, they’ll look to extend that hot streak to three straight wins when they take the field on Friday.
Delaware, meanwhile, responded to its setback against Colorado with bounce-back victories over UConn and Florida International. The Blue Hens have taken care of business in Newark this fall, winning two straight at home, and they’ll try to keep that streak alive while defending their turf against a surging Hilltoppers squad.
