Wrexham's summer transfer war chest revealed with Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney set to spend big to make Premier League dream a reality

Hollywood co-owners in North Wales, with record-breaking commercial deals helping to bolster the kitty, have helped to fund a historic run of three successive promotions for the high-flying Red Dragons.

They are now up into the Championship and one step away from hitting the ultimate end goal of Premier League football. More money will need to be invested, on and off the pitch, in order to reach the top-flight.

Recruitment records have been broken on a regular basis at SToK Racecourse, and there is the promise of more marquee deals to come - with Wrexham already being linked with proven Premier League stars such as Tom Cairney and Aaron Cresswell.

According to GIVEMESPORT, “a booty of around £25m has been earmarked for summer transfers”. It is also claimed that the club are “prepared to pay top-line second tier money to compete at the right end of the table”.

Agents have already been busy “trying to place their players” alongside Reynolds and McElhenney, but “the feedback is that they will be taking their time”. The ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary series has helped to boost the Red Dragons’ appeal as they remain on an upward trajectory.
