Spurs’ all-time leading goalscorer spent time in the Gunners’ academy system as a youngster, but made his senior breakthrough on the opposite side of north London. Those professional ties were severed in the summer of 2023, but emotional ones remain.

Kane will forever be associated with Tottenham, despite now plying his trade in Germany for Bundesliga giants Bayern. He hit 44 goals for them in his debut campaign, with a prolific strike rate being maintained a long way from home.

Fanatics have given Kane an opportunity to turn the clock back, by presenting him with a pile of Spurs shirts to sign, and cheekily tested his club allegiances by throwing an Arsenal jersey into the mix. The England captain tossed said shirt aside, saying with a smile on his face: “What is that? I’m not signing that. Got the wrong shirt here!”

Kane was unable to deliver long-awaited silverware during his time at Tottenham, and that wait for tangible success has continued at Bayern. He is, however, tied to a contract through to 2027 and is paying little attention to the speculation suggesting that a hasty retreat to England could be beaten.
