    Head coach Gasperini's priority at Roma is to build upon the current squad, and, as per Calciomercato, the Italian have identified Flamengo right-back Wesley as a priority signing for the Giallorossi. The 21-year-old has been on Gasperini's radar since his days at Atalanta.

    Wesley has played a prominent role in the Flamengo squad, winning the Copa Libertadores in 2022 and was later also named in the 2024 Brasileiro Serie A Team of the Year.
