Juventus to open talks with Flamengo at Club World Cup as Damien Comolli targets €20m deal for Brazilian full-back

Juventus have been long term admirers of Wesley and are set to meet his club Flamengo when the two clubs will play at the Club World Cup, according to Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport.

Recently confirmed as coach for the 2025-26 season, Igor Tudor has employed a 3-4-2-1 formation and Commoli feels Wesley would be a suitable addition to play as a wing-back in their system. The Brazilian defender, who has played twice for the national team, appears an affordable option as Flamengo have set his asking price at €20 million (£17m/$23m).

Flamengo are in Philadelphia for their first two games of the Club World Cup. After beating Esperance de Tunis in their opening game, they meet Chelsea on June 20. Comolli will be in Philadelphia this week as Juventus play their second game, against Wydad, on June 22 at Lincoln Financial Field.

Juventus are set to play their first match in the Club World Cup when they take on Al Ain on June 19, a day before Flamengo's clash with Chelsea.
