Revealed: Huge Christopher Nkunku fee Chelsea are demanding from Bayern Munich as 'unhappy' Blues forward pushes for Harry Kane link-up

Nkunku has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this month, with Bayern Munich emerging as a strong contender to land the out-of-favour Chelsea star. The Athletic reports that the Blues are willing to sell Nkunku, who is 'unhappy' with his role at Stamford Bridge, but will demand a whopping £65 million ($79m) transfer fee.

It has also been reported that the English giants have held talks with the Bavarian club regarding 19-year-old Frenchman Mathys Tel, with a swap deal involving Nkunku mooted. However, The Athletic claims that Nkunku's transfer would be a standalone deal, with Chelsea demanding the full £65m upfront.

Nkunku, who has started just three Premier League games for Chelsea in the 2024-25 campaign, is pushing for the move to Bayern so he can take in more regular game time - as per Fabrizio Romano. The France international will link up with Harry Kane in the final third if the deal goes through, likely in a supporting role behind the England captain.

Enzo Maresca's side will be back in action in the Premier League on Tuesday as they take on Bournemouth in a crucial fixture at home. Nkunku is unlikely to feature in Chelsea's starting lineup as transfer negotiations continue in the background.
