The 2014 World Cup winner's future has significant implications for Bayern’s long-term strategy. While Jonas Urbig is the current understudy, the Bavarians have yet to lock in a clear succession plan. If Neuer continues, it would buy the club time to prepare his eventual replacement, but it could also stall development opportunities for younger goalkeepers.

Since joining from Schalke in 2011, Neuer has made 569 appearances, winning 12 Bundesliga titles and two Champions League trophies. Even at 39, he remains a key figure under Vincent Kompany, already recording three clean sheets in eight matches this season. While he has essentially ruled out a Germany return, his club-level consistency shows little sign of decline.
