WHAT HAPPENED?
The England defender made a vital stop near the goal line as he blocked Serhou Guirassy's attempt in the 28th minute of the match. The Guinea international latched on to a pass inside the penalty box before trying to push the ball into a seemingly net but Dier did well to head the ball away and deny him from scoring. The Bayern star, however, was left with blood all over his face as he reopened a head gash in the process.

A minute after Dier's brave attempt, Leonidas Stergiou handed Stuttgart the lead from Deniz Undav's assist. The visitors restored parity in the 37th minute through Harry Kane's strike from a spot-kick after Serge Gnabry was brought down inside the penalty box.
DID YOU KNOW?
The strike against Stuttgart was Kane's 36th league goal of the season and 44th overall. The England captain is now just six goals away from breaking Robert Lewandowski's record of scoring the most goals in a single Bundesliga season.
