Douglas Luiz sends birthday message to girlfriend Alisha Lehmann as Juventus & Switzerland forward turns 26

Luiz and Lehmann completed a historic double transfer deal in the summer of 2024 as they both swapped life in England at Aston Villa for that in Turin. They bid farewell to the Premier League and WSL when heading to Italy.

Lehmann made the move first, as Luiz had been on Copa America duty with Brazil, and has settled quicker in new surroundings. She has become a popular member of Juve’s table-topping women’s squad and has a number of goals to her name.

Luiz has found the going a little tougher on form and fitness fronts, leading to him generating transfer talk in the January window, but the 26-year-old midfielder remains in Turin for now and has said in a social media message to his partner: “Happy birthday amor, I wish you the best in your life, I love you.”

Luiz has seen a return to English football speculated on, with a potential loan move being mooted. It remains to be seen whether he will be taken away from Lehmann on a professional basis or whether both will continue to work through their respective contracts in northern Italy.
