'A**hole flapping' - Danny Dyer reveals he might REFUSE to give daughter Dani Dyer away to Jarrod Bowen as he makes obscene joke about West Ham star's wedding-day groom speech

Hammers captain Bowen is due to tie the knot with former Love Island contestant Dyer at some point in the summer of 2025 – with dates being pushed forward so as not to clash with the 2026 World Cup finals in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Dani has spoken of her excitement ahead of the big day, but Bowen is starting to feel the nerves. Football Factory and EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, who is a passionate West Ham supporter, is taking great delight is seeing the England international squirm.

He has told the ‘Live And Let Dyers’ podcast while discussing the subject of wedding speeches, with Dani suggesting that she should break from tradition and do one of her own: “Jarrod's obviously doing his bit... he's a**hole flapping. Hope he doesn't do a generic speech from the internet. I'm going to keep mine very short and sweet.” Dani added on her partner: “He's sh*tting himself. He's already started thinking about his speech.”

The issue of father’s giving their daughter away has also been raised on the Dyer podcast, amid claims that it could be considered “anti-feminist”. Danny said on that matter: “I brought this woman (Dani) into the world and now I'm going to 'hand' you over... I've not thought of it like that. I might refuse to give you away now. I'm actually giving you to another man to do what he wants with you. Although it is the West Ham captain... am I that conflicted? If you look at it this way, it's actually giving your dad a moment.”

Dyer and Bowen started dating in 2021. The couple are now the proud parents of twin daughters, Summer and Star, and intend to walk down the aisle at a lavish ceremony once hen and stag dos have been taken in – with Bowen ready to jet off to Las Vegas with a rowdy group of family and friends.
