Bayern Munich yet to reach Luis Diaz agreement while Nick Woltemade talks remain at a standstill as sporting director hints they won't bring in Jamal Musiala replacement

Bayern are looking to strengthen their attack with the signings of a new winger in Liverpool hero Diaz, while Stuttgart and Germany Under 21 sensation Woltemade has made his intention clear about wanting to join the German champions.

Sky reports that Bayern are yet to reach an agreement with the Colombian winger on personal terms while their move for Woltemade is on a standstill as the club are yet to submit an offer to Stuttgart.

Bayern was also in the race for Athletic Club's Nico Williams before the player decided to stay at the Basque side by signing a contract extension. Bayern also saw their approaches for AC Milan's Rafael Leao and Brighton's Karou Mitoma rejected. Bayern are actively seeking reinforcement in the attacking department after German winger Leroy Sane joined Galatasaray on a free transfer. Their pursuit of Diaz could hit a roadblock as the winger has made his mind up on a move to Barcelona.

Bayern were dealt a brutal blow when Jamal Musiala suffered a horrific injury in the Club World Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain. Musiala clashed with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma which saw him stretchered out of the game. The player has now undergone surgery on his fibula and will be out for the next few months.

Speaking in an interview, sporting director Max Eberl spoke about the likelihood of signing a replacement for him, saying: "We feel like we don't have to do that much when planning our squad – including for the 2025/26 season. We won't react to every injury and bring in players for that reason. The squad has to be right, and we know that the players will hopefully be back in October or November and then be ready for the end of the first half of the season and the second half."

Bayern are thin in the attacking department and director Eberl will be actively seeking reinforcements before the end of the summer window as they look to build on last season's Bundesliga title win.
