Bayern and Harry Kane hit by key injury blow ahead of Champions League second leg against Arsenal

The Bundesliga giants confirmed that Gnabry has been ruled out after he suffered a muscle strain in his left hamstring during their 2-2 against Arsenal on Tuesday. While the club did not reveal a timeline for the winger's injury layoff, BILD reported that the former Gunners star is likely to remain out for at least three weeks.

The Germany international played an important role in his team's draw in the crucial Champions League away fixture against his former club at the Emirates. After Bukayo Saka handed the hosts the lead in the 12th minute, Gnabry restored parity for the Bavarian club. Harry Kane was also on the scoresheet for Bayern, while Leandro Trossard was the second goalscorer for Arsenal in a 2-2 draw.

The official statement from the club on the attacker's injury read, "FC Bayern must do without Serge Gnabry for the time being. The winger suffered a muscle strain in his left hamstring in the 2-2 draw at Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-final first leg, as confirmed by a scan by the FC Bayern medical department."

It is unlikely that the 28-year-old will feature in the second leg of the quarter-final clash against Mikel Arteta's side next week. Bayern will next face FC Koln in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
