Ademola Lookman agrees Inter move but Serie A side's offer falls short of Atalanta's huge asking price

Lookman has agreed personal terms with Inter and is pushing for the move, but the club’s current offer of €45 million (£39m/$52m) falls short of Atalanta’s valuation, according to Calciomercato.

Atalanta are demanding €60m (£52m/$69m) for Lookman from clubs within Italy, but Inter are considering including midfielder Kristjan Asllani in a player plus cash deal that could help meet the asking price and sway negotiations in their favour.

Since his sensational hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final, Lookman has drawn interest from several top clubs. Atletico are eyeing the winger as Diego Simeone looks to reinforce his team's attack in case of further departures, while Arsenal are also reportedly keen on securing his services.

It has been a year of exodus for Atalanta, with several key departures reshaping the squad. In early June, former coach Gian Piero Gasperini left the club after several years in charge. Serie A top scorer Mateo Retegui made a big-money move to Saudi side Al-Qadsiah, while promising left-back Matteo Ruggeri completed a transfer to Atletico.

Lookman is eager to join Inter and is pushing for the deal to happen. With Inter still on vacation after the Club World Cup they will want to wrap up the deal quickly to give coach Christian Chivu reinforcements upfront.
