Will Paul Mullin & Elliot Lee be recalled by Wrexham? Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney favourites get selection warning from Phil Parkinson

The Red Dragons have looked to rest and rotate over recent weeks in a bid to keep key men fresh and avoid picking up any more untimely injuries. Prolific frontman Mullin has spent time on the bench, and he was joined by 14-goal midfielder Lee last time out at MK Dons.

Ollie Palmer, another favourite of Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has also spent time among the substitutes, with Parkinson making it clear that nobody will be picked on reputation or past achievements.

That remains the case heading forward, with Parkinson saying of the depth at his disposal and the starting XI posers that he faces: “The squad is important and we will just keep looking at that, and freshen it up if we feel we need to. We might go with pretty much the same 11 but we just want to assess everybody. I was pleased with the team selection and how it worked against MK Dons but when you look around the bench, you think 'wow, that is some ammunition to come off the bench'. We wanted to freshen the team up but I felt fresh legs from the bench would be key. The plan felt like it was going to fall into place for us but the Will Boyle sending off just made it more difficult.”

Wrexham are in the midst of a run that will see them take in three successive away games, with a trip to Forest Green Rovers to come on the back of a visit to Gillingham. While they boast the best home record in League Two, their form on the road has been surprisingly inconsistent – with only five wins picked up in 16 games – and Parkinson will want to address that in an ongoing promotion bid.
