WHAT PARKINSON SAID
Hollywood co-owners Reynolds and McElhenney recognised that triumph with an all-expenses-paid trip to Nevada, and a similar trip has been put in place for 2024. Quizzed on whether he will form part of the travelling party, Parkinson has said: “It felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity last year but they are off again! It is a nice reward for promotion. Their job has been done and they are looking forward to three or four days in Vegas, and who can blame them.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Parkinson has revealed where he will be heading instead, having also opted out of the Vegas shenanigans 12 months ago. He added on a relaxing break in Spain: “I said last year, it is good to let the players have their own time. The staff are going to go away for a few days together like we did last year and we are happy with that. We are very grateful to the owners for sticking to what they said to the lads and also looking after the staff as well.”
