Quenda has had a breakthrough season at Sporting this season as the 17-year-old has played a major part in the Portuguese club's successes. As such, a number of top clubs have targeted the winger for a summer move including United and Chelsea. The Red Devils believed they had the upper hand in the fight due to Ruben Amorim having worked with him at Sporting earlier this season.

However, Quenda decided to make a move to Chelsea, and The Mirror has now revealed that he decided to reject United as he prefers Enzo Maresca's tactical set-up over Amorim's 3-4-2-1. Quenda believes that he would have to play as a wing-back at United but he would prefer to play higher up as an actual winger.

The report has also suggested that Amorim could be faced with another headache in the summer as Quenda's acquisition may prompt Chelsea to decide against making Jadon Sancho's loan deal into a permanent purchase this summer, which would leave United with yet another unwanted player.
