Lingard has been showcasing his talent in training, despite the pitch he is working on looking more like a beach – with the scorched grass on show in desperate need of some water. There was to be no stopping the star of the show as he carefully caressed a couple of long-range shots into the back of the net.

Lingard’s contract with FC Seoul is due to expire at the end of the calendar year, but said terms do include the option for a 12-month extension and the enigmatic midfielder will likely trigger that clause at some point in the not too distant future.
