The Portuguese international's long-term girlfriend wore a CR7 outfit paying tribute to the Al-Nassr star at Paris Fashion Week. And at the event, the model appeared to state the 39-year-old could hang up his boots for good next year.

In the clip, she says: "Cristiano one more year, then it’s over. Maybe two, I don't know."

Last year, former Manchester United and Real Madrid star Ronaldo had reportedly set his sights on playing in the 2026 World Cup before calling time on his career. However, this announcement may mean one of the greatest footballers of all time could be retiring quite a long way before then - which would send shockwaves around the world.

In the short-term, Ronaldo's Al-Nassr side take on Al Ain in the first leg of their AFC Champions League quarter-final clash on Monday, followed by a Saudi Pro League clash with Al-Raed on Thursday. They currently sit second in the table behind runaway leaders Al-Hilal - who have a nine point advantage.
