Who needs Victor Osimhen?! Romelu Lukaku an instant hero at Napoli as striker comes off bench to score stoppage time equaliser just days after completing transfer from Chelsea

Lukaku came on as a substitue for Napoli against Parma, with Antonio Conte's side 1-0 down. The Belgium international came on just after the hour and scored in injury time to level proceedings, as he turned well in the box and rifled an effort into the bottom corner.

Napoli went into the game without Victor Osimhen, who has been excluded from Napoli's squad after failing to agree a move away in the summer, despite links with Saudi Arabia and Chelsea. Nevertheless, Napoli recorded a win without him, as Frank Zambo Anguissa scored a dramatic 96th-minute winner.

Lukaku has a remarkable record in Serie A. The striker has netted 71 goals in 130 games in the Italian top-flight and will be out to bolster that tally throughout this season.

Napoli play Cagliari on September 15. Lukaku will have more time to adapt to his surroundings before then as he was left out of Belgium's squad to face Israel and France in their opening two Nations League games.
