On the back of a 2024 transfer to France, one-cap England international Greenwood has registered 12 goals across his debut campaign at Stade Velodrome. Of that tally, 11 strikes have come in Ligue 1 – placing him joint-top of the leading scorer standings alongside Lille’s Canadian frontman Jonathan David.
Balerdi believes there is more to come from Greenwood in 2024-25, with the Argentine defender picking out his club colleague’s best attribute. Balerdi said: “Greenwood is a very nice boy. On the pitch, he changes a little. He is very difficult to beat. He has an incredible shot, I am happy for him. With Getafe, he had perhaps only scored 10 goals. We need him, we would like him to finish as top scorer.”
