USMNT star Christian Pulisic earns MVP honours at AC Milan after latest game-changing performance for Serie A giants

The United States international, who started the 2024-25 season slowly alongside many of his club colleagues, returned to San Siro with a bang after the first international break. He was unable to inspire his country to friendly wins against Canada or New Zealand, but slotted straight back into the Rossoneri fold.

Pulisic could have bagged two goals on the day, but passed penalty duty on to new arrival Tammy Abraham after converting from the spot himself. That sense of being a team player has contributed to the 25-year-old being named Milan’s MVP in the most recent round of fixtures.

The Rossoneri will be hoping to see those standards maintained when playing host to Premier League giants Liverpool in their Champions League opener on Tuesday. Pulisic is relishing the “big challenge” that the Reds will pose, as he seeks to replicate the European success that he enjoyed with Chelsea back in 2021.
