USMNT boss Gregg Berhalter excited for 'special' Copa America warm-up clash with Brazil as U.S. Soccer confirm date for only second-ever 'Continental Clasico'

On July 12, Gregg Behalter's men will face the five-time world champions for the first time since 2018 in the Allstate Continental Clasico at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla, as confirmed by U.S Soccer. It will serve as a preparatory game for both sides ahead of the 2024 Copa America, which kicks off on July 20 in the United States.

USMNT head coach Berhalter certainly seemed excited to take on the mighty Selecao, as he told USsoccer.com: "Getting the opportunity to play against Brazil is special. When you talk about wanting to challenge ourselves against the best teams in the world, you can’t ask for much better than Brazil. With their extremely talented player pool and rich history of success on the world stage, this will certainly be a great preparation game for Copa America. The fan support in Orlando has always been outstanding, and when you play against the five-time World Cup champions at Camping World Stadium it should be even more electric."

The Allstate Continental Clasico is an annual event conducted in the U.S., where the USMNT play against a top-tier opponent from North, Central or South America. The inaugural edition of the event was hosted in 2023, where USMNT played out a 1-1 draw against Mexico.

The Stars and Stripes will be next seen in action on March 21 when they take on Jamaica in the CONCACAF Nations League semi-final.
