Alexander-Arnold received a huge amount of backlash for making the switch from Merseyside to Spain - where he will join up with friend and compatriot Jude Bellingham. Despite the 26-year-old dedicating nearly two decades of his life to Anfield, he has been cast out after winning everything on offer with his boyhood club.

Alexander-Arnold can finally close the book on his Liverpool career and begin a new story at the Santiago Bernabeu. He will have the chance to impress during the Club World Cup, which begins on June 14.
