Alexander-Arnold was named in the Liverpool starting XI against Manchester City on Saturday and caught the eye with his choice of footwear. The Liverpool star appeared to be wearing an unreleased pair of next generation adidas Predator boots. The Predators were previously made famous by David Beckham who became syonymous with the brand during his career. Alexander-Arnold marked their debut with a fine strike to equalise.

Alexander-Arnold's choice of footwear will raise questions over whether he is now set to join adidas. The Liverpool defender has been the face of Under Armour since joining the sportwear brand back in 2017 but his choice of boots for the City game suggests he could be set for a change.

Beckham's gold Adidas Predator boots, which he wore when winning his 100th cap for England, are expected to sell at auction for £10,000. Bids for Beckham's boots will start at £4,600 when they go on auction in Wellingborough on December 5 at 1:30 pm.
