Tim Weah wants 'revenge!' - USMNT star will 'never' accept Premier League move as agent blasts Juventus director for 'causing problems' amid transfer fiasco

Things have turned sour between the American striker and the Juve camp after Weah denied a €15 million (£13m/$17m) move to Nottingham Forest. This has irked the Italian club to the extent that, according to Calciomercato, they have raised their asking price for the striker to approve his preferred transfer to Marseille. This attitude did not sit well with Weah's agent, Badou Sambague, who called out the club's sporting department and warned them against using 'outdated methods' to cause problems for his player.

The ex-Lille striker joined the Serie A club on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 but the club decided to part ways with him by trying to sell him to Forest and force his hand by dropping him in a crucial Club World Cup match against Manchester City. This did not go well with the player's camp as Sambague labelled it as 'a disgrace'. With Weah now wanting to switch to France, the Juve camp has been accused of extracting revenge on the striker by hiking up his price to €20m (£17m/$23m).

Talking to Sportitalia, Sambague explained the issue with Juve's sporting department as he said: "Juventus is a fantastic club. The sporting department is managed by three people: two have class, another is still finding himself. Two are looking for solutions, one is creating problems. And we can't afford that. Tim Weah, always a professional, was left out during the Club World Cup. Today, out of revenge, he's demanding a fortune and waiting for an offer from the Premier League that will never arrive and will never be approved by us. These are outdated methods."

Juve want to sign Randal Kolo Muani, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Turin. However, there is a lot of competition, with Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly joining the race. With heightened interest, the Juve camp can look to resolve Weah's situation at the club and generate funds to increase their bid for Kolo Muani.
