Reijnders scored 15 goals last season in all competitions in what was a difficult campaign for the Rossoneri. The versatile Dutchman was subsequently named Serie A's midfielder of the season and has clearly caught the eye of Guardiola. Able to play deep or further forward, Reijnders looks a good fit for a City side aiming to improve after an underwhelming 2024-25 campaign.
WHAT REIJNDERS SAID
He told Voetbal International: "The clubs are still in talks. For me, it’s a waiting game now. I myself have been involved very little. My father does that. The Premier League is of course a great competition, that’s what you dream of as a little boy. I haven’t had any contact with Guardiola yet, that’s not on the agenda yet."
DID YOU KNOW?
A move to Manchester City would see Reijnders link up with the Netherlands team-mate Nathan Ake at the Premier League club and the two have discussed the possibility of playing together. He added: "Here at Oranje I’ve already talked to him briefly about it. He would like it if I came that way. But it’s not that far yet."

WHAT NEXT FOR REIJNDERS
Reijnders does appear to be heading to Manchester City as Guardiola freshens up his squad. In the meantime, he will be in action for the Netherlands in World Cup qualifiers against Finland and Malta.
