A global television audience thought that they had seen the last of Lasso in May 2023 when he brought an eventful coaching stint in England to a close and returned to his native America. At that point, lead character and writer Jason Sudeikis appeared to have shelved the award-winning production indefinitely.
Goldstein, who plays foul-mouthed player-turned-coach Roy Kent, falls into that category. He continues to be quizzed on Season 4, and has told Parade about his current emotions: “Potentially I'm potentially excited about anything. Potentially.” He added when asked if he has a message for those clinging to the hope of seeing Lasso return to their lives: “Potentially get excited.”
