Saudi chiefs make Mo Salah their ‘dream’ signing next summer as Liverpool brace themselves for deal that could eclipse Cristiano Ronaldo’s with Al-Nassr

Salah will leave Liverpool when his contract expires in the summer if he does not sign an extension with the Anfield club. The Egypt star has long been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, having been the subject of an offer from Al-Ittihad last summer, and The Daily Mail reports that he could end up with an astronomical deal if he opts for a move to the Middle East.

Ronaldo is earning a reported £177 million ($225m) per year with Al-Nassr and the report suggests Salah would at least match that figure if he agreed to make the switch. The 32-year-old admitted that a summer departure seems more likely at present as he said Liverpool have not yet offered him a new contract.

Salah is not the only Liverpool star with an uncertain future, as defenders Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold also have expiring contracts, with the latter possibly heading to Real Madrid in the summer according to reports.

While speculation about his future continues, Salah will aim to fire Liverpool to victory when they meet Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
