Wrexham and Salford shared the points in their two meetings last season, with both winning on home soil and scoring three goals in the process. They are now set to cross paths again after being drawn together in North Group B of the 2024-25 Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
The third team in the Red Dragons’ group will be an U21 Premier League side – with it yet to be determined which outfit that will be be. Wrexham went all the way in the EFL Trophy back in 2005 – while losing in the round of 32 last season – while Salford secured silverware for their famous owners in 2020.
