WHAT HAPPENED?
Klopp joined Liverpool in 2015 after a successful spell at Borussia Dortmund. Then-Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich tried to lure the coach to west London, The Athletic reports, but Klopp was turned off by the Blues owner's tendency to fire managers after a short period of time.
Klopp has come up against Chelsea 22 times since he arrived at Anfield and his side have emerged victorious nine times. The teams have played out a draw on nine occasions while Chelsea have beaten Klopp's team four times.
