A 'bargain'?! - Real Madrid believe they can sign Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool for a knock-down fee amid managerial uncertainty at Anfield

Los Blancos have reportedly been 'monitoring' the 25-year-old's contract situation at Liverpool with the defender yet to sign a new deal. With the Reds prioritising a successor to manager Jurgen Klopp, who will leave at the end of the season, 90min reports this uncertainty over the German's replacement has delayed contract talks and Madrid are targeting a reduced fee for the England international.

With Klopp's exit creeping ever nearer, Liverpool are aiming to secure a seamless transition and tying down Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah to new deals - all of which expire in 2025 - will help towards that, provided they are willing to sign after Klopp leaves.

The Liverpool academy product - who is currently out injured with a knee problem - has played 302 times for his boyhood club since making his debut in the 2016/17 campaign. The full-back will hope to add to his tally and help his side in their pursuit of winning the Premier League and Europa League in the remainder of the season.
