Premier League big boys battle for Diant Ramaj! Arsenal, Chelsea & Man Utd all interested in young Ajax goalkeeper

Ramaj, who made the switch from Eintracht Frankfurt to Ajax last summer, penned a deal that ties him to the Dutch club until 2028. Despite Ajax enduring a challenging season, the 22-year-old shot-stopper has exhibited considerable potential, conceding only 26 goals in 17 league appearances. And Sport Bild's Christian Falk has reported that the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea are keen on securing his services, igniting speculation about his potential move to the English top-flight.

The reported interest comes as a surprise given that all three clubs made significant goalkeeper signings just last summer, with David Raya, Andre Onana, and Robert Sanchez joining Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea, respectively. However, since Onana and Sanchez have failed to fulfil expectations during the current season, United and Chelsea have to look for further options. Whereas, there have been speculations that Arsenal may view Ramaj as a suitable backup option for Raya, especially with Aaron Ramsdale's anticipated departure in the summer.

Ajax are struggling for form this season and are currently positioned fifth in the Eredivisie despite being bolstered by the acquisition of former Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson in January. Since his move, he has made four appearances for the Dutch giants.

The prospect of Ramaj testing his mettle against English clubs looms large, with Ajax set to clash with Aston Villa in the Europa League Conference last-16. However, before that he has to deal with FC Utrecht in the domestic league.
