Pep Guardiola has had enough! Man City boss draws up plan to replace injury-ridden Ederson with £63m-rated goalkeeper this summer

Ederson has been Manchester City's first-choice goalkeeper since 2017 and has won several Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy. However, the Brazilian goalkeeper has been plagued with a groin problem since the start of the season, which has reportedly prompted Guardiola to look for his replacement.

Per the Mirror, The Cityzens are planning to step up their interest in FC Porto and Portugal custodian Diogo Costa, who has a £63 million ($81m) buy-out clause in his existing deal that runs until 2027. While the English champions consider the release clause too high, they remain confident of landing the player for £50m this summer as the club's new director of football, Hugo Viana, shares a close bond with Costa's agent, Jorge Mendes.

Premier League legend and former City custodian David James has recently urged the Cityzens to consider signing Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher as an Ederson replacement.

Guardiola's team will be back in action in the Premier League in midweek as they host Aston Villa in a crucial fixture.
