    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Thanks to a new sublicensing agreement with Fox Sports, NBC Sports is now diving into the already jam-packed Big 12 basketball media pool. With ESPN, CBS, TNT, and more already in the mix, Big 12 hoops will now be available across eight different platforms: ESPN, ABC, FOX, FS1, CBS, CBSSN, TNT, and Peacock.

As part of the deal, Peacock will stream 20 exclusive Big 12 men's basketball games starting in Fall 2025. The matchups will include both conference rivalries and out-of-league showdowns and are part of NBCUniversal's aggressive push to expand its live sports footprint.

In total, Peacock is expected to stream close to 200 college basketball games next season spanning the Big 12, Big Ten, and Big East. And that's just the tip of the iceberg—Peacock's sports arsenal will soon feature the NBA in 2025-26 and the WNBA in 2026, adding to a lineup that already includes Sunday Night Football, the Premier League, the Olympics, and more.

The Big 12 continues to be a heavyweight in college hoops, sending seven teams to the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Houston led the charge, claiming both the conference title and a trip to the national championship game. Meanwhile, Arizona, Texas Tech, and BYU joined them in the Sweet 16, with Houston earning its second Final Four appearance in five seasons.

WHICH TEAMS ARE IN THE BIG 12 CONFERENCE?

Now entering its 30th year, the Big 12 Conference continues to stand tall as one of the elite forces in college athletics. Under the direction of Commissioner Brett Yormark, the league made a strong showing in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, sending seven teams dancing, including top-seeded Houston, who captured the conference crown and earned a No. 1 seed.

Joining the Cougars in March Madness were Iowa State and Texas Tech as No. 3 seeds, Arizona at No. 4, BYU slotted in at No. 6, Kansas at No. 7, and Baylor rounding things out as a No. 9 seed.

With 16 member schools in total, the Big 12 has expanded its reach and deepened its talent pool. The full lineup now features: Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, BYU, UCF, Cincinnati, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, Utah, and West Virginia, a collection of programs that continues to raise the bar on the national stage.
