Now entering its 30th year, the Big 12 Conference continues to stand tall as one of the elite forces in college athletics. Under the direction of Commissioner Brett Yormark, the league made a strong showing in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, sending seven teams dancing, including top-seeded Houston, who captured the conference crown and earned a No. 1 seed.
Joining the Cougars in March Madness were Iowa State and Texas Tech as No. 3 seeds, Arizona at No. 4, BYU slotted in at No. 6, Kansas at No. 7, and Baylor rounding things out as a No. 9 seed.
With 16 member schools in total, the Big 12 has expanded its reach and deepened its talent pool. The full lineup now features: Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, BYU, UCF, Cincinnati, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, Utah, and West Virginia, a collection of programs that continues to raise the bar on the national stage.
