Oasis star Liam Gallagher lashes out at Man Utd influencer Mark Goldbridge over Erling Haaland 'sold his whole career' comments

Prolific Norwegian striker Haaland has signed a new 10-year contract at the Etihad Stadium to bring an end to any speculation regarding his future – having previously generated talk of a possible move to Barcelona or Real Madrid being made at some stage.

Haaland is now tied to terms through to the summer of 2034. His show of commitment is considered to be another indicator of City’s confidence regarding the Financial Fair Play (FFP) battle that they remain locked in, with at least 115 charges hanging over their head.

Points deductions and demotion out of the Premier League have been mooted for City, but Haaland would appear to have no fears when it comes to the club’s top-flight status. His signing of a new deal has seen outspoken Manchester United influencer Goldbridge say on social media: "Haaland what a prat. Sold his whole career away for money at a soulless club. And I'd forget City getting done. Clearly no they aren't. Spent 10 years spending like no one else can. How is that fair?"

Oasis frontman and City super-fan Gallagher has responded to that social media post with a typically blunt one of his own. After seeing Haaland’s future planning called into question, Gallagher bit back at Goldbridge with a "shut up you c***" message.

Haaland, who is 24 years of age, has registered 111 goals for City through 126 appearances. He has helped them two Premier League titles, an FA Cup win and Champions League triumph. He also has two Golden Boots to his name in the English top-flight and a PFA Player of the Year award.
