Neymar appears to have ruled out an MSN reunion at Inter Miami, with the Brazilian superstar offering a nod towards his future plans at Al-Hilal.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The South American forward only made his way to the Saudi Pro League in 2023, having bid farewell to Paris Saint-Germain in the same window as Lionel Messi. Neymar has played alongside the Argentine icon at Barcelona and PSG, and the pair remain in regular contact.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
There had been talk of Neymar heading to Florida to work with Messi and Luis Suarez again, with a serious knee ligament injury restricting him to just five appearances for Al-Hilal. He is, however, still under contract and has hinted at staying put for at least one more season.

With Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal qualifying for the 2025 Club World Cup courtesy of their AFC Champions League win in 2021, Neymar has told FIFA of chasing down more major honours: “It’s an honor for me to play the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, defending Al-Hilal. The best clubs in the world and the best athletes in the world will be there, and obviously, this is where Al Hilal and my teammates should be. The expectations for the tournament are huge, and I’m sure that we’ll be ready to represent our fans.”

WHAT NEXT?
The revamped Club World Cup will take place between June and July 2025, with that competition heading to the United States. If Neymar intends to form part of Al-Hilal’s squad, then he will not be linking up with Messi and Co in Miami any time soon.
