Neymar preparing for Lionel Messi reunion in MLS? Al-Hilal star buys $26m property in Florida to fuel Inter Miami transfer talk

Neymar has spent an eye-watering $26 million (£20m) on a "piece of waterfront land" in Florida, according to the Wall Street Journal. The move will fuel talk that Neymar is set to reunite with former Barcelona and PSG team-mate Lionel Messi at Inter Miami as the Brazilian's purchase includes "approved plans for a 13,000-square-foot house". A representative for the buyer said their client was attracted by the "privacy and security of the gated community" and added it was "exactly" what the buyer was looking for.

Messi has already surrounded himself with former Barcelona team-mates Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets since moving to MLS last year, while Neymar has regularly been linked with a move to the club. Neymar, Messi and Suarez formed the iconic 'MSN' trio during their time together at Barcelona and fired the Catalan giants to a host of titles both at home and abroad.

Neymar has just returned to action with Al-Hilal after a nightmare spell out with a serious knee injury. He has made only six appearances for the club since joining in a mega-deal from PSG in August 2023.

Neymar's future at Al-Hilal is currently uncertain as the Brazilian is out of contract at the end of the season. Al-Hilal have been linked with a record-breaking move for Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr as a potential replacement for Neymar if he does move on.
